About
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London — The Making of Harry Potter is one of the UK's most popular family attractions, and for good reason. Located in Leavesden, just outside London, the tour takes families through the authentic sets, costumes, props, and special effects from all eight Harry Potter films.
You walk through the actual Great Hall, step into Dumbledore's office, explore the Forbidden Forest, and see the original Hogwarts Express up close. The scale is genuinely impressive — this is not a replica or a theme park recreation. These are the real production sets, preserved exactly as they appeared on screen.
Kids who are fans of the books or films will be absolutely captivated. The tour ends with the extraordinary Hogwarts Castle model — a 1:24 scale miniature used for aerial shots throughout the films, lit dramatically and jaw-dropping in scale. Butter Beer is available throughout the tour (non-alcoholic, sweet, and wildly popular with kids), and the gift shop at the end is vast.
Budget at least 3–4 hours for the full experience, and book tickets well in advance — this attraction sells out months ahead, especially during school holidays. The tour runs via shuttle bus from Watford Junction station, which is reachable by direct train from London Euston in around 20 minutes.

- Eat before or after — food inside the studio is expensive and the queues for Butter Beer get long
- The gift shop is enormous and children will want everything — set a budget or prepare for negotiation on the way out
What to Bring
