How We Pick Family Activities
A place does not earn a KidPaths spot just because it is popular. It has to make sense for the parent trying to build a smoother day with kids.
The basic bar
A listing needs a real physical place or clearly bookable family experience, enough public information to verify it, and a practical reason a parent would consider it.
We favor places with clear age fit, predictable visit length, useful amenities, and a backup-plan role. A beautiful attraction can still be a poor KidPaths pick if the logistics are rough for families.
The parent lens
We look for answers to questions parents actually ask: Is it stroller-friendly? Will toddlers last more than 30 minutes? Is it still good in bad weather? Is parking stressful? Does the cost jump once you add snacks, fees, or upsells?
The strongest listings include a real tradeoff. That might be a great rainy-day option with a higher price, a free playground with limited shade, or a museum that works better for big kids than toddlers.
How rankings work
Paid relationships do not control ranking. Affiliate links are added where they are useful for booking or price comparison, but they do not make a weak venue stronger.
Search results and city pages use a mix of listing quality, age fit, category fit, parent logistics, ratings, and query intent. A rainy-day search should not behave like a broad activity search.
