London with kids is mostly a museum-and-park rotation, and the rotation works because four of the world's best children's-leaning museums are free. The Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the V&A, and the British Museum are walking distance from South Kensington tube; pick two, never four, and you will have a better day. The Tate Modern's Turbine Hall is the underrated free art stop for kids who like big space. Central park substitutes are everywhere: Hyde Park's Diana Memorial Playground, Regent's Park, and the V&A's John Madejski Garden each carry a 90-minute outdoor break. Thrill Coaster - Westfield is the indoor amusement option in West London for tweens. The Fairy House by Fairytale Friends is the immersive storytime experience for ages 3 to 7. Children's Bookshop London on Fortis Green Road is the kid-bookshop landmark. Pro tip every London parent gets to: the tube is great, but a London bus from the top deck of a 9, 11, or 15 is the cheapest sightseeing tour going. The Underground escalators and gaps are rough on stroller days; the buses are easier with babies and let kids actually see the city above ground.
