The DoSeum

The DoSeum is a hands-on children's museum built around making, role-play, movement, science, and imaginative problem-solving. Its official age guidance runs from birth through about age 10, with several outdoor stations extending through age 11. A family can easily spend one to three hours, and the museum recommends building in breaks so young children do not become overtired.

Little Town is the clearest starting point for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Babies can crawl and pull up in a gated soft-play area. Children ages 1 to 5 can pretend to pilot a plane, work at a veterinary clinic, shop for groceries, deliver packages, cook, or visit a bank.

Older children can move to Innovation Station to build with shapes and connectors, use real tools with protective equipment, or program a robot. The 39,000-square-foot Big Outdoors adds lawn games, a climbing structure, sand, musical stations, a wheelchair-accessible treehouse, a shallow stream, and experiments with moving water.

General admission is currently $18 for every guest age 1 or older, and children under 1 are free. Parking is free in the museum's guest lots. Tuesday is the regular closed day, and Sunday morning begins with a members-only hour before public entry at noon. Weekday school groups are common until 2:30 PM, while school holidays and Free Family Nights tend to be busier.

The museum combines indoor and outdoor spaces. Families can still use the indoor galleries during rain, but outdoor exhibits may close for weather or maintenance. Water features make a towel and complete change of clothes especially useful. Closed-toe, rubber-soled shoes and play clothes are recommended.

Baby facilities are well documented. Changing tables are available in men's, women's, and most family restrooms. Nursing is welcome throughout the museum, and a private first-floor nursing room is available near Little Town.

Strollers are allowed when needed, but the museum asks families to leave them in the car when possible and recommends small umbrella models. The on-site cafe offers kid-friendly food, while outside meals are not permitted.
