About

For families, the Haunted History Ghost Walk is the clearest Sisters Grimm option. It runs nightly, lasts about 90 minutes and covers a little more than 1.5 miles through Alamo Plaza, Main Plaza and Military Plaza. Guides tell stories outside the Alamo, Menger Hotel, Spanish Governor's Palace and old Bexar County Jail.

The tour mixes San Antonio history with ghost lore, dark events and humor. No building entry is included. The operator labels the walk for all ages and describes its historical tours as family-friendly for most children.

Parents should still consider the subject matter. Stories include battles, murder, suicide and other deaths, and the company recommends parental discretion for children age 6 and younger. Children under 18 must attend with an adult.

The Ghost Bus is a separate product with stronger material and is recommended for older guests, so families should check the exact tour name before paying. The walk departs from the Sisters Grimm Oddities Parlor near the Menger Hotel. Downtown parking and the final approach can take time.

The company says departures are prompt, tours do not wait for late guests and missed tours are not refunded. Advance reservations are recommended because weekends and peak periods may sell out. Current walk pricing is $30 per adult and $25 per child age 6 to 12.

Guide tips are not included; the operator suggests 15% to 20%. This is an outdoor experience in all normal weather. Tours continue in rain and are canceled only for severe weather, when guests are contacted and refunded.

Comfortable shoes matter because the operator calls the route a medium-high amount of walking. The walk is described as wheelchair accessible, but the company recommends an electric scooter rather than a manually pushed chair because of the distance. It does not publish a stroller policy.
