Missouri History Museum

Missouri History Museum works well for families because its most child-focused space asks children to do things. In the free History Clubhouse, kids can pilot a Mississippi River steamboat, build a model downtown skyscraper and act out life in Cahokia. Those hands-on activities make local history easier for preschool and elementary-age children to grasp.

Older children can move into the museum's broader exhibitions about St. Louis, Missouri and events such as the 1904 World's Fair.
