Pérez Art Museum Miami

Pérez Art Museum Miami gives families a mix of modern art, hands-on learning, striking architecture, and Biscayne Bay views. Inside, children can look for colors, shapes, people, and stories in works from the 20th and 21st centuries. The museum's PAMMport program turns the galleries into a scavenger-hunt-style “artventure.”

A kids' audio guide adds music, sound, and simple activities, so bring a phone and headphones. Families can also check the calendar for the Art Station and other workshops.

The strongest family day is PAMM Free Second Saturday. Admission is free all day, and art-making runs from 11am to 3pm every second Saturday. Activities can include guided looking, guest artists, performances, films, and projects for children and adults to make together.

Regular admission is also free on Thursdays after 5pm. On other days, adults pay $18, youths ages 7 to 18 pay $14, and children 6 and younger enter free. Capacity is limited, and tickets can sell out, so online booking is the safest plan.

Most of the art experience is indoors, making PAMM useful in rain or strong Miami heat. Families can also step onto the waterfront terrace and see the hanging gardens. Baby strollers are allowed in the museum.

Large bags and luggage cannot enter the galleries, and storage is subject to availability, so pack lightly. The galleries may feel cool because the museum controls temperature and humidity to protect the art.

Paid parking is available in the museum garage for a flat $18, but spaces are limited. Elevators connect the garage, entrance, and gallery floors. Verde restaurant and its bistro bar provide food on site, though a children's menu was not verified.

Allow roughly two hours for a comfortable visit, with more time if your family joins an activity or eats by the water. Check the official calendar, ticket availability, restaurant hours, and current exhibitions before leaving home.
