The Museo Nacional de Aeronáutica sits inside the Morón Military Air Base in Greater Buenos Aires. Families explore two public display hangars, themed galleries, green areas, and an outdoor aircraft platform. The collection covers early flight, Argentine-built aircraft, trainers, commercial and transport planes, helicopters, jets, Antarctic aviation, models, engines, weather, and national aviation history.

The scale is the main attraction for children. They can compare propellers with jet aircraft, spot different wing shapes, see helicopters and transports, and look at historic equipment. Most displayed aircraft are viewed from outside rather than entered. The museum says climbing aboard is not normally allowed, although controlled access may occur during selected events.

On hot days, cover the outdoor aircraft first and then use the hangars. Toddlers may enjoy seeing the large planes, while ages 4 to 15 are more likely to engage with the displays and flight themes.

Arrival needs more preparation than at a typical city museum. The entrance is at Avenida Eva Perón 2200, but the museum is housed on an active military base. Visitors must follow base security instructions and carry identification.

Drivers need current personal and vehicle documents. Outdoor parking is available close to the entrance, and the museum states that its route is wheelchair accessible. A stroller policy and baby-changing facilities are not published.
