About
Tres de Febrero Park — often simply called Palermo Park — is Buenos Aires' answer to Central Park: a vast, beautiful green space in the heart of the Palermo neighborhood that Buenos Aires families have been gathering in for generations. Covering over 100 hectares, it offers a remarkable variety of activities and environments for families with children of any age.
The park's artificial lakes are one of its most beloved features. Paddle boats are available to rent and are an absolute hit with kids — there's something about the combination of water, open sky, and self-propelled movement that children find endlessly satisfying. Older kids and tweens can also rent bikes and explore the park's cycling paths, which wind through some genuinely beautiful wooded sections.
For younger children, wide lawns and safe open spaces let them run freely in a way that urban Buenos Aires doesn't often allow. There are playground areas scattered throughout, and the park's shaded groves make it comfortable even on warmer days.
Entry is completely free, which makes it one of the best value family destinations in the entire city. The rose garden El Rosedal is located within the park and is worth including in a visit, especially in bloom season. The park is surrounded by the city's best cafes and restaurants along Avenida del Libertador and the Palermo side streets, making it easy to build a full day around a visit.
