Spray Park

This spray park in the Kitsilano area of Vancouver is a free, seasonal water play spot for young children. With a perfect 5.0 rating on Google (from a limited number of reviews), it's clearly a hit with the families who know about it.

The spray park features ground-level water jets and spray features on a rubberized surface, designed for toddlers through about age 10. It's a simple setup compared to the larger spray parks in Stanley Park or at community centres, but for a quick summer cool-down, it does the job well.

Kitsilano is an excellent family neighborhood, so there's plenty to do before and after the spray park. Kits Beach is nearby for sandcastle building and wading, and W 4th Avenue has restaurants, ice cream shops, and independent stores. The neighborhood has a relaxed, family-oriented vibe that makes it easy to spend a full day in the area.

The spray park is seasonal, operating during the summer months. As with most Vancouver spray parks, there are no dedicated restroom or changing facilities right at the park, so come prepared. Street parking in Kitsilano can be competitive, especially on hot weekend days when everyone is heading for the beach.
