Glazer Children's Museum

Glazer Children’s Museum is a fully indoor, hands-on play museum in downtown Tampa. Its 35,000 square feet of exhibits are made for children to splash, climb, build, pretend, create, and investigate at their own pace. Young visitors can shop with a small cart in the Publix exhibit, build a soft fort, experiment with art and light, or look closely at Big John, a large Triceratops fossil.

This is active play rather than a quiet gallery visit, so it works best for toddlers through elementary-age children.

Plan on two to four hours. Some children will move quickly between stations, while others may spend most of the visit repeating one pretend-play activity. The building is indoors and works well during Tampa rain or heat.

Babies under 1 enter free, and the museum provides an infant feeding room, diaper and wipe vending, water-bottle refill stations, and stroller parking near the Level 1 lobby. The official accessibility program also offers adaptive tools at Guest Services, including noise-canceling headphones, fidgets, weighted vests, and sound amplifiers.

General admission is currently $27.95 per paid visitor. Florida residents pay $22.95 with qualifying state ID. That makes the listed admission subtotal $111.80 for four paid general visitors or $91.80 for four qualifying residents.

Parking and food are extra. The closest official recommendation is the city-operated William F. Poe Garage beside the museum.

It uses ticketless ParkMobile payment and onsite pay stations, so build a few extra minutes into arrival. A passenger drop-off roundabout is also available.

Hours change by season. The museum opens daily during its summer schedule but closes on Mondays during the school-year schedule. It also closes on several holidays and the Gasparilla Parade date.
