Fun Run Buggies

Fun Run Buggies operates out of the Macao area — a less touristy stretch of the Punta Cana coast — and takes families on guided off-road buggy tours through rural DR countryside. The Carretera Macao road and surrounding trails are legitimately rough in places, which is exactly what makes the experience fun for adventure-seeking families.

This isn't a sanitized tour-bus excursion. You're driving open buggies through red-dirt roads, past cacao farms, and into small villages that don't often see tourists. It's dusty, bumpy, and genuinely exciting for kids who have spent a few beach days wanting more action. Most tours run 2–3 hours and include a stop at Macao Beach, one of the better non-resort beaches in the area.

Age minimums apply — most operators in this space require participants to be at least 8 years old, and drivers must be 18+. Kids ride as passengers. The open buggy format means you need to dress for dust: goggles, bandana, or sunglasses that seal, and clothes you can wash afterward.
