Duration

Allow at least 3 to 4 hours. The official FAQ says visitors may stay longer.

Best Ages

Best for ages 6 to 14. Children ages 3 to 5 have several suitable exhibits, but many thrill activities have height or weight requirements.

About

WonderWorks Pigeon Forge is a large indoor science-and-play attraction inside the upside-down building on Music Road. Its 42,000 square feet hold more than 100 hands-on exhibits, split among six Wonder Zones. Children can make giant bubbles, experiment with light and sound, explore space themes, test their reflexes, look at illusion art, and try physical challenges.

Older children and teens can add laser tag, the four-story indoor ropes course, a rock wall, and the 4D motion theater when they meet each activity's rules.

The broadest fit is about ages 6 to 14. The operator also points families with children ages 3 to 7 toward the Bubble Lab, Light and Sound Zone, and Imagination Lab. Many thrill activities have height, weight, clothing, or health restrictions, so a preschooler will not be able to do everything.

The building also uses flashing lights and motion, which may not work for visitors with seizures, vertigo, or other light and motion sensitivities.

This is one of the stronger rainy-day choices in Pigeon Forge, but bad weather also brings bigger crowds. WonderWorks recommends at least 3 to 4 hours, and visitors may stay longer. Arrive near the 9:00 AM opening if your family wants a calmer start.

The operator warns of longer waits during spring break, summer, Christmas break, holiday periods, and inclement weather. Free parking is in the lot in front of the building.

Strollers and wheelchairs can use elevators. Wear closed-toe shoes and flexible clothes if anyone wants the ropes course or certain rides. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, but the Wonder Cafe sells pizza, hot dogs, popcorn, and drinks.

Children age 3 and under are free, while child tickets cover ages 4 to 12 and adult tickets begin at 13. The official page says online purchase speeds check-in but does not remove the admissions-counter line.

Plan Your Visit

Best Time to Visit

Arrive close to the 9:00 AM opening. Spring break, summer, Christmas break, holidays, and rainy days can bring larger crowds and longer attraction waits.

Wait Times

The operator does not publish wait times in minutes. It warns of longer waits during peak travel periods and inclement weather, especially for larger attractions.

Nearby Food

The on-site Wonder Cafe sells pizza, hot dogs, popcorn, Pepsi products, and other simple items. Outside food and drinks are not permitted.

Why Kids Love It

Children can make giant bubbles, play a floor piano, test their reflexes, explore space, study optical illusions, and graduate to laser tag, climbing, or motion attractions as their size allows.
