Sesame Place Philadelphia is a theme park and water park built for families with young children. It combines family rides, water slides and splash areas, live shows, parades, Sesame Street character meetings, dining, and shopping. The strongest age fit is about 2-8.

Toddlers and preschoolers get the biggest thrill from seeing familiar characters, while older children can focus on larger rides and water attractions. Every guest age 2 or older needs a ticket; children 23 months and younger enter free.

Treat this as a full-day outing. A family can move between dry rides, water play, shows, character photos, and meals, so six to eight hours is a useful planning range. Height and safety rules vary by attraction.

A Sunny Day Ticket may be available when weather substantially disrupts a visit, but families must follow the official exchange rules. This is not a fully weatherproof rainy-day destination.

The park is well equipped for babies and toddlers. Double strollers can be rented, and the Family Care Center near Big Bird's Burger & Bites has private nursing areas, changing stations, bottle warmers, a microwave, and a low-sensory room. Family or companion restrooms are also available at listed locations.

On-site dining includes snacks, counter service, grab-and-go choices, and allergy-friendly meals. Outside food is generally restricted, although bottled water, refillable bottles, baby food, formula, and approved dietary exceptions are allowed.

The current four-ticket online promotion is $156 through September 7, 2026, with parking starting at $36 plus tax. The park recommends summer weekdays and regular operating days during April, May, and September when families want lighter attendance.
