The Rush Funplex

The Rush Funplex in Kansas City is one of those big indoor entertainment venues that genuinely earns its place on the family activity rotation. Located in north Kansas City, it combines trampoline courts with a solid lineup of other attractions that give kids of different ages something specific to get excited about.

For younger kids, the dedicated toddler zone is a legitimate selling point — it keeps the under-5 crowd safely separated from the older kids launching off the big courts, while still giving them age-appropriate jumping and climbing fun. Parents of toddlers know how rare it is to find a trampoline venue that actually manages this well.

For the 7-14 set, the main trampoline courts, foam pits, and especially the ninja obstacle course are the draws. The ninja course at Rush is well-designed with progressive difficulty — kids can work through beginner sections and push toward the advanced challenges as their skill builds. Weekend afternoons are packed and popular equipment can have 15-30 minute waits.

Food is available on site at the cafe; quality is standard funplex fare. Bringing snacks is a money-saver. Rush socks are required — you can buy them at the venue, but bringing your own trampoline socks from a previous venue (same grip-bottom style) works fine.
