Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park

Elitch Gardens combines a theme park and water park in downtown Denver. One regular day ticket covers both areas on operating days, which lets families switch between rides and water attractions without buying a second admission. The park is highly seasonal, and its hours change by date.

During late summer and fall, it may open only on weekends or for special events. Check the date-specific calendar before buying tickets or driving downtown.

Ride choices cover a wide age range. KiddieLand has a small coaster, swings, boats, a mini train, trucks and spinning rides for younger children. Family attractions include a restored carousel and the Big Wheel, which stands more than 100 feet tall.

Older children and teens can move toward larger coasters and thrill rides. Height, body position and other safety rules differ by attraction, so review the official requirements before telling a child that a particular ride will be available.

The 2026 online day ticket is currently listed at $57.99, while children 2 and younger enter free. Four ticketed guests total $231.96 before tax or processing charges. Standard vehicle parking adds $30 Monday through Thursday or $35 Friday through Sunday and on holidays. The park uses electronic payments, including cards and mobile wallets.

Treat this as a full outdoor day. Plan six to nine hours if your family wants both the theme park and water park. Bring swimsuits, dry clothes, sunscreen and a sealed clear water bottle.

Severe weather can close rides. A return ticket may be issued only when the park’s listed major rides and water park remain closed for more than 90 straight minutes, and several conditions apply. Tickets are otherwise nonrefundable.

Strollers may be brought inside, and rentals are offered for a fee on a first-come, first-served basis. Family changing space is available at first aid stations, and a family restroom is located near the Mind Eraser exit. A dedicated nursing room was not confirmed.

Food choices are spread throughout the park, but outside meals are generally prohibited. Exceptions are available for special dietary needs and families with infants; ask Security or Guest Relations for help.
