Trinity Forest Adventure Park

Trinity Forest Adventure Park occupies a unique spot in the Dallas outdoor activity landscape — a genuine aerial adventure park set within the actual Trinity Forest on the southeast edge of Dallas, the largest urban hardwood forest in the United States.

The park features multiple levels of aerial obstacle courses threaded through the forest canopy: rope bridges, balance beams, zip lines, and climbing challenges at heights ranging from beginner-level near the forest floor to expert-level courses 30–40 feet up in the tree canopy. The multi-level course design means beginners and experienced young adventurers can both find their appropriate challenge level.

Harnesses are provided and fitted by trained staff, so no previous climbing or zip line experience is necessary. Participants get a safety briefing and demonstration before heading onto the courses. The self-guided format then allows families to move through the courses at their own pace — lingering on elements they enjoy, skipping those that exceed their comfort level.

This is firmly an older-kid experience. Most courses have minimum height and age requirements (typically around 7 years old and 48 inches) — check the park's current requirements before booking if you have borderline-age children. Younger kids and toddlers won't be able to participate in the main courses.

The outdoor forest setting means weather is a factor. The park closes or suspends operations in lightning, heavy rain, or high-wind conditions. Check the forecast before your trip and have a backup plan.

For kids who love a physical and mental challenge, this is one of the most rewarding outdoor experiences in the Dallas area — the sense of accomplishment after completing a high course is real and memorable.
