Carbon Grill

Carbon Grill occupies a prime position on El Medano beach at Villa del Palmar resort — one of the most family-friendly resort properties in the Cabo corridor. The restaurant opens for dinner at 6 PM, which lines up perfectly with the sunset over the Pacific, and the combination of quality grilled food and that view makes it a memorable family evening.

The menu centers on carbon-grilled (charcoal-grilled) meats and seafood, with a few Baja-influenced sides and salads. This is resort-quality cooking at resort prices, but the execution is solid and the setting is hard to beat. Kids who are big meat eaters will be happy; the open grill fire adds a visual element that younger children find genuinely exciting.

For families with infants or toddlers, the resort setting means full bathroom and changing facilities are nearby, something that open-air standalone restaurants rarely offer. The wide beach-adjacent space is also more forgiving of restless younger children than a crowded interior restaurant.

This is dinner-only, opening at 6 PM, so plan accordingly if you have very young kids on an early schedule. Non-resort guests are welcome with a reservation. Expect to spend USD 120-180 for a family of four — this is a special-night-out restaurant rather than an everyday choice.
