Bubble Planet: An Immersive Experience - Atlanta

Bubble Planet in Doraville is one of the more genuinely magical immersive experiences you can take kids to in the Atlanta area. It's a walkthrough exhibit housed at the Exhibition Hub Atlanta Art Center on Buford Highway, and it delivers exactly what the name promises: room after room of bubbles, light, and interactive wonder.

The experience is designed for all ages, but the sweet spot is roughly 2 to 12 years old. Toddlers are absolutely mesmerized by the glowing bubble tunnels and foam ball pits, while older kids go straight for the giant bubble-making stations where they can create and pop enormous soap spheres. There are photo-ready rooms throughout — the kind where every surface is covered in reflective bubbles and soft pastel light — so parents tend to enjoy it as much as the kids.

The venue is fully indoors, climate-controlled, and stroller-friendly throughout. Nursing and changing facilities are available, making it comfortable for families with infants along for the ride. Entry is timed, which keeps the space from feeling overly crowded even on busy weekend days.

Note that the venue is closed on Tuesdays, so plan accordingly. It's located on the Buford Highway corridor, roughly 20 minutes northeast of downtown Atlanta near I-285. Parking is free in the lot at the Exhibition Hub.

After your visit, the Buford Highway stretch nearby is one of the most diverse dining corridors in Georgia — there are excellent Vietnamese, Korean, and Latin American restaurants within a short drive, making it easy to turn this into a full afternoon outing.
