The View - Punta Cana

The View is a breezy open-air restaurant perched along the Punta Cana coastline on Calle Mare. It's one of those spots that works for families precisely because the setting does half the work — kids are mesmerized by the ocean views while parents actually get to finish a meal.

The menu leans into Dominican and international flavors with grilled seafood, pasta, and meat dishes. For kids, the grilled fish and chicken tenders are reliable bets, and the kitchen is generally accommodating with simpler preparations if you ask. Portions run on the generous side, so splitting an entree between two younger kids is totally doable.

The restaurant is open from 11 AM to 11 PM daily, which gives you flexibility. Lunch is the sweet spot for families — it's less crowded, the prices tend to be slightly lower, and kids are usually in better moods. If you come for dinner, aim for 5:30-6 PM to catch the sunset without battling the 7 PM rush.

Strollers can navigate the space, though the terrace seating is a bit tight between tables. There's no dedicated changing station, but the restrooms are accessible. The staff is used to families and generally patient with kids.
