Letna Park

Letná Park is one of Prague's great green lungs — a sprawling hilltop park perched above the Vltava River that offers some of the most spectacular panoramic views of the city available anywhere. For families, it's a perfect free destination that combines open space, playgrounds, sports facilities, and a genuinely beautiful setting.

The park stretches for over 37 hectares across the Letná plateau, giving kids enormous space to run, cycle, skateboard, or simply explore. A dedicated skate park near the park's edge is a draw for older kids and teens, while playground areas cater to younger children. Wide paved paths make stroller navigation easy throughout.

The eastern edge of the park is famous for its panoramic terrace with a giant metronome — a spot beloved by photographers and families alike for the sweeping views of Old Town, the bridges, and the castle on the opposite bank. The nearby beer garden is casual and family-friendly, offering food and drinks with arguably the best view of any outdoor seating in Prague.

Letná sits close to the National Technical Museum and the Letná neighborhood's excellent local bakeries and cafés, making it easy to combine a museum morning with a park afternoon.
