About
Baha Bay is Nassau's newest major water park, and it's giving Atlantis's Aquaventure serious competition. Opened on 15 beachfront acres directly adjacent to the Baha Mar resort on Cable Beach, it combines modern water park engineering with the kind of tropical design that makes the whole place feel like a luxury beach club rather than a theme park.
The numbers are impressive: 30+ water attractions, a 500,000-gallon wave pool, a 1,400-foot lazy river, multiple slide towers, and dedicated kids' areas with age-appropriate thrills. But what sets Baha Bay apart from Aquaventure is the polish. Everything feels newer, cleaner, and more thoughtfully designed — from the landscaping to the food to the staff service.
For families with young children, Kids Island is the standout. It's divided into two zones: Turtle Beach for toddlers and babies (kid-sized slides, gentle fountains, sparkling shallow pools with zero-entry edges) and Stingray Cove for elementary-age kids ready for more exciting slides and splash features. The separation by age means your 3-year-old isn't competing with 8-year-olds for the same equipment.
Older kids and teens have plenty to keep them busy. The Riptide Coaster is a water coaster that uses jet propulsion to shoot riders uphill as well as down — it's the kind of ride that doesn't exist at most water parks. The FlowRider surf simulator lets kids try boogie boarding and surfing on a continuous wave.
The main slide towers offer everything from family tube rides to near-vertical speed slides.
The wave pool deserves special mention. Every 15 minutes, the calm swimming pool transforms into a wave experience with rolling swells perfect for body surfing and playing. Then it calms back down for swimming. Kids love the anticipation of the next wave cycle.
Dining at Baha Bay is genuinely good. Umami Burger serves proper burgers, Sugar Factory does outrageous milkshakes and sweets, and there are multiple other options beyond the usual park food fare.
Access is complimentary for all Baha Mar resort guests — a significant value if you're choosing where to stay. Non-guest day passes run approximately $159-189 for adults and $99-139 for children, varying by season. While cheaper than Atlantis day passes, it's still a significant expense for non-guests. Why Kids Love It
Baha Bay is the newer, more modern competitor to Atlantis's Aquaventure, and it's stunning. Spread across 15 beachfront acres, it features 30+ water attractions including a massive wave pool that transforms from calm waters to surf every 15 minutes, a Riptide water coaster that's unlike anything at Aquaventure, and a 1,400-foot lazy river winding through tropical gardens. Younger kids are obsessed with Kids Island, which has two zones: Turtle Beach for the littlest guests (toddler-sized slides, splash pads, and shallow pools) and Stingray Cove for kids ready for slightly more adventure.
Teens and tweens gravitate toward the FlowRider surf simulator and the high-speed body slides. The dining is a cut above typical water park food — Umami Burger and Sugar Factory are actual good restaurants, not just concession stands.
