Color Me Mine

Color Me Mine is a paint-your-own-pottery studio that hits a sweet spot for families: it's genuinely creative, totally accessible for any age, and results in something kids can take home and actually be proud of. No pottery skills required — you pick a ceramic piece from the shelves (bowls, mugs, figurines, tiles, and more), choose your paints, and get to work.

The studio itself is relaxed and unhurried. Unlike a lot of kids' activities, there's no rushing, no timers, no competition — just a table, some brushes, and as much time as you need. This makes it especially nice for kids who get overwhelmed by louder, faster-paced environments, and also makes it a genuinely enjoyable outing for parents who want to sit, create, and not be on their feet the whole time.

Once you finish painting, the studio takes your piece for glazing and firing — it'll be ready for pickup in about a week, which builds nice anticipation. The finished pieces look significantly better than they do when painted (glaze transforms the colors beautifully), so kids are usually thrilled when they come back for pickup.

Pricing includes a studio fee plus the cost of your ceramic piece. Keeping kids on smaller, simpler items keeps costs down without sacrificing the experience. Color Me Mine also does birthday parties, which is worth considering if your kid is at that age where they want something a little different.
