Bois-Franc Park Splash Pad

The Bois-Franc Park Splash Pad is a seasonal water play area in the Saint-Laurent borough of Montreal. Located in the Bois-Franc residential development, it serves as a popular summer destination for families in the northwest part of the city.

The splash pad features ground-level water jets that spray upward at varying heights and intervals. There's no standing water, which makes it appropriate for toddlers with supervision. The water features activate automatically during operating hours, typically mid-June through early September.

The surrounding park area has some green space and benches where parents can sit while watching. Shade is limited directly around the splash pad, so timing your visit matters. Late morning (before the sun is directly overhead) or late afternoon tends to be more comfortable than the 1-3 PM window when the sun is strongest.

Bois-Franc is a newer residential development, so the park infrastructure is relatively modern. The splash pad surface is non-slip and the area is kept clean. However, there are no changing rooms or washroom facilities at the splash pad itself. You'll need to towel off and change in the car or bring a privacy cover.

The neighborhood has basic commercial services including grocery stores and a few restaurants, but it's not a walkable commercial strip. If you're driving in from another part of Montreal, plan to bring everything you need with you.

This splash pad is a good option for families living in or visiting the Saint-Laurent borough. It's not worth a long drive across the city when there are closer splash pads elsewhere, but for northwest Montreal families, it's a dependable free summer activity.
