Slick City Action Park

Slick City on 3300 S in Salt Lake City is the East SLC location of this indoor slide park concept. Important note for Moab visitors: this is in Salt Lake City, about 4 hours north. If you're visiting Moab, this isn't a day-trip option. This listing is here because it's in the broader Utah network.

For SLC families, though, it's a great indoor activity. The concept is all about slides — multi-lane racing slides, corkscrew slides, speed slides, and foam pit landings. Think water park without the water. The friction-free surfaces let kids fly down slides at speeds that would never be possible on a normal playground.

Kids race each other down side-by-side lanes, go headfirst if they're brave enough, and land in soft foam pits. The toddler area has gentler, shorter slides for the under-5 crowd, separated from the bigger slides so little ones can play at their own pace.

Pricing is about $22-$30 per person for 90 minutes. A family of 4 will spend $80-$110. Grip socks are included with admission — a nice change from trampoline parks that charge $4 per pair. Athletic clothing is required — no jeans, metal buckles, or zippers. Long sleeves are fine and can actually help with speed.

With limited reviews at this newer location, it's still building its reputation. But the concept is proven from the Maple Grove, MN and other Slick City locations that all have strong ratings.

90 minutes is the sweet spot for most families. Kids tire out from climbing the stairs to the slide tops. The 3300 S area has restaurants nearby for the after-sliding meal. For SLC families looking for something different from the 10+ trampoline parks in the metro, this is a refreshing alternative.
